So one wrecked car and one showroom car cannot drag the number up or down. A plain average can be pulled a long way by a single odd sale — which is the last thing you want when working out what to bid. 1 of these sales closed by negotiation after the auction — those figures are top bids rather than hammer prices, so they are left out of the median.
The typical price for each year the car went through the auction hall. Years with fewer than three sales are left out — too few to mean anything.

Grades we see most. The auction grade is the inspector's overall score for the car. A higher number means better condition, and it moves the price more than almost anything else.
Where they sold. The house matters less than the grade, but some venues run consistently stronger stock.
The hammer price is what the car cost in the auction hall. To land it in your country you also pay the auction fee, inland transport in Japan, export clearance, shipping, then your own country's duty, tax and inspection.
