These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the JP Sheet website and auction sheet verification services operated by JP Sheet ("we", "us", "our") at jpsheet.com.
By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part, you may not use our services. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers.
JP Sheet provides the following services:
All services are subject to availability of data from Japanese auction house databases. JP Sheet is not an auction house and does not conduct vehicle inspections — we retrieve and present data created by licensed Japanese auction inspectors.

We accept payment via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, debit cards) and PayPal. Prices are in USD and are final — no hidden fees or additional taxes unless required by your local law.
Payment must be completed before your report is delivered. In the case of manual search, payment is taken upfront but a full refund is issued if no record is found.
If you do not receive your report within the stated timeframe, contact us at [email protected] and we will resolve it promptly.
JP Sheet retrieves auction sheet data directly from Japanese auction house databases. We present this data as-is and do not modify, edit or fabricate any information.
JP Sheet is not liable for purchasing decisions made based solely on our reports. We strongly recommend an independent physical inspection of any vehicle before purchase.

All content on jpsheet.com — including text, design, graphics, logos, and code — is the property of JP Sheet and is protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without our written permission.
Auction sheet images and data retrieved from Japanese auction houses remain the property of the respective auction houses. JP Sheet holds a licence to access and present this data. You may use your report for personal reference only — commercial redistribution is not permitted without written consent.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JP Sheet shall not be liable for:
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service in question.
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our services, you consent to our collection and use of your data as described in that policy.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any of the following reasons:
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon termination, any unused credits or pending refunds will be processed according to our Refund Policy.
Sections relating to Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability and Governing Law survive any termination of these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
For material changes, we will endeavour to notify registered users by email.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
JP Sheet is operated by List Networks Ltd (Company Number 12859474), a company incorporated in England and Wales on 4 September 2020, registered at PO Box 4385, Cardiff, CF14 8LH, United Kingdom.

This section applies only to the US and Canada VIN check ($25 per report). Everything above still applies; where the two differ, this section wins for VIN orders.
United States and Canada only. A vehicle never registered in North America will not appear in these databases. For a Japanese import, use our auction sheet service instead — it is a different product with different sources.
Title, brand, odometer, junk, salvage and insurance records come from NMVTIS, the United States federal vehicle title database that states, insurers, salvage yards and junk yards are required by law to report to. Auction records, sale listings and photographs come from salvage auction houses and dealer listing networks. Specification and recall data comes from manufacturer filings and the US Department of Transportation.
We pass on what those sources hold. We do not alter, withhold or add to a record. If a source is wrong our report repeats that error — tell us and we will check it again by hand at no charge.
Your report link is issued the moment you pay, before any data arrives. It identifies the vehicle and fills in as each search completes.
Most reports finish within minutes. Where the automated databases return little, a member of our team searches the archives directly — usually within 60 minutes, always within 12 hours. We email you when the page updates. The link does not expire.
Every VIN order gets a real report. Where the automated search finds little, our team searches by hand and adds whatever exists. That is why this service takes up to 12 hours rather than being instant.
A report that returns no adverse records is a completed order, not a failed one. It tells you the vehicle has no salvage brand, no write-off, no theft report and no lien on file — which is exactly what a buyer needs to know. It is not refundable on that basis alone. Refund terms for VIN orders are in our refund policy.
This is the most important paragraph in this section.
Records only show what was reported. An accident settled privately, a repair paid for in cash, or damage never claimed on insurance leaves no trace in any database — ours or anyone else’s. Where the report says no record was found, it means none of the databases we searched held one on the date shown. It does not prove the event never happened, and it is not a statement about the vehicle’s condition.
A VIN report is not an inspection. Rust, a tired gearbox, a poorly repaired panel — only a mechanic finds those. Use the report to decide what to ask the seller and what to have checked. Do not use it instead of looking at the car.
A report is for your own use in buying, selling or valuing a vehicle. You may show it to a seller, a buyer, a mechanic or an insurer. You may not resell reports, republish them as your own product, or run automated bulk lookups. If you want to use this data in a business, email us and we will arrange proper access.
This service returns vehicle records only. It never returns an owner’s name or address — that is personal data and we neither hold nor supply it. You may not use this service to research a person.
