How does JP Sheet handle your payment card data?

JP Sheet operates under PCI DSS SAQ A — the lowest-risk PCI compliance category — because we never touch card data. Here's exactly how it works:

When you pay by card:

You see a payment form on JP Sheet — but the input fields are Stripe Elements, iframes hosted directly by Stripe
Your card number, expiry and CVV travel directly from your browser to Stripe's servers, encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) — they never touch a JP Sheet server
Stripe returns a one-time token to JP Sheet representing your payment
JP Sheet stores only this token, your billing email, the order ID, and the amount — never the actual card details
For returning customers, you see "card ending 4242" — that's a tokenised reference, not the real card number

Stripe itself is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — the highest standard, the same level used by Amazon, Shopify and Google. Stripe is audited annually by an independent QSA (Qualified Security Assessor) and publishes its Attestation of Compliance publicly.

PayPal payments follow the same principle — the entire payment flow happens on PayPal's PCI Level 1 infrastructure. JP Sheet receives only a confirmation and transaction ID.
