What is JP Sheet's age policy?

To use JP Sheet (browse, purchase a report, contact support, post a review), you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction — whichever is higher.

This applies to:

• Purchasing any verification report, translation, Deeper Scan, manual search or package
• Creating an account or providing contact information
• Submitting reviews, testimonials, or content of any kind
• Using our chatbot or contacting support

If you are under 18, please do not use JP Sheet without parental supervision. A parent or legal guardian may use the service on your behalf, but the account and data ownership will be theirs.

Which children's privacy laws apply?

Several jurisdictions have specific laws about collecting personal data from minors. We respect all of them as a baseline, and apply the highest standard globally:

What do we do if we learn a minor has used JP Sheet?

If we learn — through a report, an account audit, a payment dispute, or any other source — that personal information has been collected from someone under the relevant age threshold, we take the following steps within 30 days:

1. Delete the account and all associated personal data from our active systems
2. Refund any payment in full, regardless of our usual refund policy
3. Disable any ongoing data processing immediately (marketing emails, analytics tracking, etc.)
4. Notify the parent or guardian if we have a way to reach them, with confirmation of deletion
5. Retain only what is legally required (e.g. minimal payment records for tax law), in a non-identifiable form where possible

We treat these reports seriously and act on them quickly. There is no penalty for the minor or family for telling us.

How can a parent or guardian contact us?

If you are a parent or legal guardian and you believe your child has provided personal information to JP Sheet without your consent, please contact us right away. We will respond within 30 days, usually faster.

What we will need from you:

• Proof of your identity (e.g. matching the email on file, or a photo ID showing you are the parent/guardian)
• The account email or chassis number used by the minor
• Approximate date the activity took place

What we will do:

• Confirm receipt within 5 business days
• Investigate and verify (usually 7-14 days)
• Delete the account and refund any payment
• Provide written confirmation of deletion

Do we target advertising at minors?

No. Even where data is collected with consent, we do not direct advertising at anyone we know to be under 18. Specifically:

• We do not use age, school affiliation, or any youth-related demographic targeting in our ad campaigns
• Our Meta / Google Ads / TikTok audiences are configured for adults (18+ minimum)
• We do not profile minors, build behavioural profiles of them, or attempt to retarget them
• We do not place advertising on platforms primarily aimed at children

What about educational or research use?

Some of our blog posts and educational content (auction sheet guides, damage code explanations, import guides) may be used by automotive students, journalism researchers, or technical school courses. This is fine — reading published content does not require providing any personal information to us.

If you are a teacher or instructor who wants to use JP Sheet content in a classroom setting where students may be minors, you may:

• Link to our public guides freely — no permission needed
• Quote short excerpts with attribution (see our Terms)
• Contact us at [email protected] for any larger excerpts or for a free institutional information pack

If your students need to actually use the verification service for coursework, please use a single teacher- or institution-owned account rather than having minors create personal accounts.

When was this policy last updated, and what happens if it changes?

This Children's Privacy Policy was last updated on the date shown at the top of this page. We review it at least once a year.

If we make material changes — for example, if we ever decide to offer a feature specifically for minors (we don't currently plan to) — we will:

• Update the "last updated" date at the top of this page
• Notify existing customers by email
• Display a notice on the homepage for at least 30 days
• Where required by law (e.g. for under-13 data collection under COPPA), obtain verifiable parental consent before any new data is collected
