Introduction
JP Sheet ("we", "us", "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our service to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) of 1998 (17 U.S.C. § 512), we have adopted the following policy regarding copyright infringement.
If you believe that material available on or through our website infringes your copyright, you may request its removal by submitting a written notice (a "DMCA Notice") to our designated copyright agent identified below.
How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice
To file a valid DMCA Notice, your written communication must include substantially the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works are covered by a single notice, a representative list of such works)
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity — provide the URL where the material appears on our site
- Your contact information — full name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner
Designated DMCA Agent
Send your DMCA Notice to our designated copyright agent:
Subject line: "DMCA Notice — [Brief Description]"
Postal mail: Available on request via the email address above
Notices submitted through any other channel may experience delayed processing. For fastest response, use the email above with the subject line indicated.
Our Response to Valid Notices
Upon receipt of a complete and valid DMCA Notice, we will:
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material expeditiously
- Notify the user who posted the material (if applicable) of the takedown
- Forward a copy of the DMCA Notice to the user (if applicable)
- Document the takedown for our records
If the notice is incomplete or does not substantially comply with the DMCA requirements, we may request additional information before taking action.
Counter-Notification
If you believe that your material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with us. Your counter-notice must include substantially the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that has been removed, including the URL where it appeared before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, and telephone number
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which JP Sheet may be found)
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original DMCA Notice or their agent
Counter-notifications should be sent to the same address as DMCA Notices, using the subject line "DMCA Counter-Notice — [Brief Description]".
Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and applicable law, JP Sheet has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers.
Repeat infringement is typically defined as receiving two or more substantiated copyright complaints within a 12-month period. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to:
- Limit access to the website
- Terminate user accounts
- Refuse to provide services
- Take any other action we deem appropriate
Our Copyright Protection
The content on JP Sheet — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, blog posts, code, design elements, chassis decoder database, country guides, and verification reports — is the property of JP Sheet or our licensors and is protected by copyright laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of our materials without our prior written consent, except:
- You may print or save personal copies of pages from our site for non-commercial use
- You may share your purchased verification reports with mechanics, dealers, banks, or other parties for personal verification purposes
- You may quote brief excerpts of our blog posts with proper attribution and a link back to the original
Republishing our content as your own, scraping our database, or using our service to power a competing service is strictly prohibited.
Auction Records & Third-Party Data
The auction sheet records we retrieve are sourced from third-party auction houses, dealer networks, and salvage stocks under data partnership agreements. These records are licensed to us for retrieval and delivery to our customers.
Customers who purchase a verification report receive a perpetual license to use that report for their personal purposes (e.g. verifying a vehicle, sharing with dealers). They do not receive ownership of the underlying auction data.
If you are an auction house, dealer network, or data provider and believe we are using your data without proper authorization, please contact us at [email protected] with the subject line "Data Partnership Inquiry".
Other Intellectual Property Rights
This policy primarily addresses copyright infringement under the DMCA. If you believe content on our site infringes other intellectual property rights — including trademark, patent, trade secret, or publicity rights — please contact us at [email protected] with full details of your claim.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this DMCA & Copyright Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
