Sell Japanese car auction reports on your own website. Visitors check a chassis for free, pay you with WooCommerce, then open the full report.

== Description ==

Turn your website into a car check shop. Your visitors type a chassis number, see the car for free, and buy the full Japanese auction report from you. You set the price, you take the payment, and the report shows under your own website name.

= How it works =

1. A visitor types a chassis number in the check box on your page.
2. If an auction record is found, they see the car (make, model, year, engine, colour) for free.
3. They press "Buy full report" and pay you through your WooCommerce checkout.
4. The full report is ready in seconds: on the thank-you page, in their email and in their account.

= What the report shows =

* Auction grade, mileage, start and final price, result
* Kilometres per year and per month
* Every past auction for the same chassis
* Equipment and inspector notes
* Auction sheet and photos (when available)

= Full control in one place =

* **Overview:** credits left, searches, reports sold, and an easy setup checklist.
* **Reports:** every report your customers bought, with order link, view link and one-click Retry.
* **Requests:** every chassis your visitors checked, and which ones were bought.
* **Credits:** credits left and credits used by month.
* **Settings:** API key, your price, alert email.

= What you need =

* WooCommerce (free) with at least one payment method switched on.
* A JP Sheet Business account with credits. You can try everything first with the free test key.

== Installation ==

2. **Turn on a payment method:** go to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments and switch one on (card, PayPal, bank transfer...).
3. **Install this plugin:** go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, choose `jpsheet-car-check.zip`, click Install Now, then Activate.
4. **Add your API key:** sign up free at jpsheet.com/business. On the API & Website tab press "Turn on live API" and "Create my API key". Paste the key in Car Check > Settings. To try first, click "Use the free test key".
5. **Set your price:** in Car Check > Settings.
6. **Add the check box:** on Car Check > Overview click "Create the page for me", or add the shortcode `[jpsheet_check]` to any page.
7. **Test it:** open the page and search `TEST1-0000001` (test key). When you are happy, buy credits and paste your real key.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Do I need WooCommerce? =

Yes. WooCommerce takes the payment, so you can use any payment method it supports. WordPress will ask you to install it first.

= Which payment methods work? =

Any payment method WooCommerce supports. With card or PayPal the report is ready right after payment. With bank transfer, the report is made when you mark the order as Processing. Cash on delivery is hidden for reports, because no money arrives at checkout.

= Can I try it without paying? =

Yes. Click "Use the free test key" in Settings. Search TEST1-0000001, TEST2-0000002 or TEST0-0000000 (no record). Nothing is charged.

= When is a credit used? =

Only when a paid order gets its full report. Searching is free. If a report cannot be made, no credit is used.

= What if a report fails? =

The plugin tries again by itself. If it still fails, you get an email and the report shows as Failed in Car Check > Reports. Press Retry, or refund the customer from the order.

= What happens when my credits run out? =

The Buy button is hidden, visitors see "not available right now", and you get an email so you can refill.

= Is my customer's personal data sent to JP Sheet? =

No. Only the chassis number and your website address are sent. Names, emails, addresses and payments stay in your WooCommerce shop.

= Can I put the check box on more than one page? =

Yes. Add `[jpsheet_check]` to any page or post.

= Is my data deleted when I remove the plugin? =

Only if you tick "Delete all Car Check data when I delete the plugin" in Settings. WooCommerce orders are never deleted.

== External services ==

This plugin connects to the **JP Sheet Business API** (https://jpsheet.com/business/v1), run by JP Sheet, to find Japanese auction records and get full auction reports. It cannot work without it.

* **What is sent:** the chassis number the visitor types, your API key, and your website address (in the request's user agent).
* **When:** when a visitor searches a chassis, when a paid order needs its report, and when you open the Car Check admin page (to show your credits).
* **Not sent:** visitor names, emails, IP addresses or payment details.
